In June our CEO, Sara, visited a specialist rare disease centre at Motol University Hospital in Prague.
The visit was part of her ERN-RND patient advocate duties and an opportunity to learn about the centre’s work and how they organise care for patients with rare neurological diseases.
It was particularly impressive to see how they have developed relationships with local services through education and awareness of the service, and ensured patients were seen within two months of referral.
