Campaigns, Projects and Research

We undertake campaigns to improve the quality of, and access to, treatments for leukodystrophy. This includes our Screen Our Boys Campaign, which petitions for Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) to be added to the UK newborn screening programme. We also use campaigns to raise awareness of leukodystrophies and the impact they have on individuals and families. To find out more, please visit: Campaigns and projects

With so few available treatments, we understand that research is a significant priority and source of hope for the leukodystrophy community. Alex TLC actively promotes and supports research in a number of ways. To find out more about our involvement in research, please visit: Research and Alex TLC

Life with leukodystrophy campaign

Leukodystrophies are a devastating group of conditions that can affect men, women, and children of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities. It doesn’t discriminate and affects individuals and families from all walks of life.

We have created a campaign to share the journeys of individuals and families affected by leukodystrophy. With an aim to shine a light on the far-reaching impact of leukodystrophy and the challenges faced by our community members.
