Four amazing friends donated £5000 to Alex TLC from their Friends’ Ball
In 1999, as a group of friends with young babies and toddlers, we knew that getting together to celebrate the Millennium New Year would prove difficult, so myself (Clare), Annie, Maria and Sandra decided to organise a formal event that would involve all our friends and families.
But why a charity…..? During this time, lots of our friends lost a loved one to cancer, and this seemed like an ideal opportunity to raise money for a charity.
We are just four friends who each have a normal day job but due to our guests’ support, The Friends’ Ball has evolved, and we have now held eleven events for local and national charities in great need of help. We always choose charities that are close to our guests’ hearts, including Alex TLC.
To date, we have raised an amazing £116,300 and every penny has been donated to our chosen charities (large and small) and hopefully made a difference where needed.
