We have 5 charity shops in South-East London, Forest Hill, Greenwich, Peckham, Penge, and Walworth Road.
A minimum of 2 and maximum of 10 people (max 2 per location) can take over any or all of our shops for the day .
You will learn how to use the till, serve customers, accept and sort donations, make eye-catching window displays and keep the shop in order.
The key basics will be taught to the participating teammates at the start of the day before the shop opens, and there will always be a member of Alex TLC staff in each charity shop to lend a hand if needed.
Various challenges can be set during the day. For example, teams may be given something that is particularly unusual or hard to sell or asked to think of an innovative way to encourage new customers. Other challenges could include selling the most charity merchandise, best window display or most successful/unusual sales technique. We can tailor the event according to your needs.
