Payroll Giving Month

Payroll Giving (sometimes known as Give as You Earn) is an easy and tax-efficient way of making regular donations to your favourite charities straight from your gross pay. All UK registered charities and charitable organisations are eligible to receive donations via Payroll Giving.

By donating to charity from your gross pay it means there is no income tax liability on your donation and you will pay less tax. ‍Donations made from gross pay also mean the charities you donate to don’t need to claim Gift Aid on your donation. ‍

Payroll Giving is especially efficient for medium and higher rate taxpayers, allowing larger donations at a lower cost.

Payroll Giving Month happens every February when charities, Payroll Giving Agencies, Professional Fundraising Organisations and companies come together to raise awareness of Payroll Giving.

“Payroll Giving was really easy to set up for me because a lady came into store, I asked if I could give to Alex TLC, gave her the charity number and she searched and found it straight away. Alex is close to my family’s heart because of my grandson who has ALD, they need all the help they can get I know most people say this about a charity that they support but if you read up on this you would realise what a sad illness this is.”
