We are delighted that Maureen Crofts has decided to fundraise for us by auctioning some of her artwork. Please note, this auction is open to UK residents only.
About the Artist
Maureen lives in Cornwall and tries to capture light, colour and atmosphere in her work.
Her favourite mediums are watercolour pencils and graphites. She loves working on animals and children.
Maureen has sold all over the world, including the Mall Galleries in London. She has also raised over £15,000 for various charities.
She has also won an award for a graphite drawing and was invited to the House of Lords to collect it!
About the Auction
Maureen’s grandson, Toby, has been living with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) for 10 years now. Because of this, Maureen has decided to hold an Auction of her work and donate all proceeds to Alex TLC. Bids start at just £20 and can be increased by £1 a time.
How do I register to bid

Click on the ‘Register‘ button
Enter your details and click ‘Register’
You will then receive a verification link and the verification code. Either enter the verification code into your device, or simply click the link to complete your verification. You are now ready to bid.
How do I place a bid?
Click into the item that you would like to bid on, then enter your bid where the box has ‘enter bid amount’. To submit the bid, click ‘bid now’.
It must be equal to or above the ‘next minimum bid’ which is displayed under the item name. If your bid is successful you will see a ‘winning’ label next to the item name.
If you are not registered for the auction you will be prompted to enter your details and register before placing your bid.
How do I know if I’ve been outbid on an item?
If you are outbid, you will receive a notification with a link back to the item. You can click this link to take you directly to the item where you have the option to place a higher bid.
The item you have been outbid on will have an ‘outbid’ label next to the item name.
You can also check by going to the ‘my account’ tab and clicking on ‘activity’.
How do I know if I’ve won an item?
If you win an item, you will be notified when the auction closes. The notification will contain a link that you can click to view your invoice and make payment for the item/s.
Please note that a tip to GalaBid is added to invoices at check out. You can edit the percentage or enter a custom amount, including 0 if you do not wish to tip.
