Recently, our CEO, Sara, visited the adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) worm models being used in a drug repurposing research project at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences.
It’s fantastic to see how our Community Weekend Science Day helped connect this early stage research with LeukoLabs, international leukodystrophy specialists, and the Inherited White Matter Disorders (IWMD) Service.
Seeing these collaborations develop highlights the value of bringing researchers, clinicians and the leukodystrophy community together to share knowledge and spark new ideas. A huge thank you to Dr Andre Brown, Dr Joe McElvaney, and their team for taking the time to share their work.
