An all-over sun tan even without going out in the sun
The sun tan would be unusual for the person and there would be no sun tan lines. This is also referred to as deep skin pigmentation.
Nausea or vomiting
Repeated episodes of illness over long periods of time and taking time to resolve, not a typical 24-48 hours. The symptoms are worse than typical stomach illness.
Salt cravings
A person will crave salty foods, these aren’t a one-off craving and will occur often.
Other typical signs and symptoms of adrenal insufficiency are:
Exhaustion and weakness
Weight loss
Dizziness when standing
Low blood pressure
Poor concentration
Poor appetite
Muscle weakness and cramps
Headaches
Stomach pains

A significant, but rare, cause of primary adrenal insufficiency is a genetic condition called Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), which can be life limiting. Although this is unusual it is important that you make your doctor aware of this condition so they can assess if additional testing is appropriate.
