Whizz-Kidz Community Change Projects
To support young wheelchair users
Whizz-Kidz Community Change projects are designed to support young wheelchair users to create and deliver a project of their choice with funding of up to £500. The project can be to purchase a piece of equipment that will improve inclusion in your school or community group, create disability awareness training for peers, run a campaign in the local community to highlight an accessibility issue or anything else you can think of. All we ask is that you report on the impact of the project and the difference that it makes to young people and your community.
The project must be designed by young wheelchair users but can include as many young people from the school as you like. It needs to be supported by a member of school staff and Whizz-Kidz will pay the funding directly into the school’s bank account.
Applications must be received by January 30th 2023. Successful applicants will be announced in early February and projects must be completed by the end of the summer term. The judging will be completed by our very own Kidz Board, a group of young wheelchair users who represent regions across the UK.
