The Industry Perspective & the Family Perspective Webinars
The United Leukodystrophy Foundation (ULF) are holding a live webinar series about clinical trials.
Clinical trials are crucial to the advancement of disease research and ULF are holding these webinars to help provide families with information about what participating in a clinical trial involves. The webinars are being held in collaboration with ICON – a global provider of consulting, and outsourced development and commercialization services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and government and public health organizations.
There are two sessions:
Industry Session
Industry leaders with current clinical trials will present from their perspective on the trial process. There are five pharmaceutical companies included on the panel – Viking Therapeutics, Passage Bio, SwanBio, Vigil Neuro, and Poxel – to share their insights on what clinical trials are like from behind the scenes and “outside of the laboratory.

Family Session
ICON presents a general education session on what Clinical Trials are and address some frequently asked questions. A Family Panel will also be present to provide their perspective on what it was like participating in trials from the patient’s point of view.
